Today, Cittadina Marketing turns three!  It has been a wonderful ride helping customers deliver excellent and fun digital marketing campaigns.  We have helped small start ups set up their strategies and brand identities, fast growth companies begin to create marketing processes and introduction of marketing automation and large companies, like Google, deliver internal comms campaigns, case studies and thought leadership.

How we got started helping business owners and digital marketers

Our origin story: After a first career at Microsoft and Google sandwiched with an MBA, I went ‘agency-side’ in 2015.  That company focused on only one kind of creative; social video. At that time, video was still relatively new as a social strategic tool, so we typically created films that were part of a larger strategy. At the end of one particularly large project, I was struck that our company was merely in the third leg of a relay race now handing off the assets to the final agency (the media buyers) to bring in the win. That also made me realise that my client had been spending her time going from agency meeting to agency meeting when really, she needed and probably preferred, to be focusing on the broader campaign, the goals of her team, career progression and other business imperatives. From there, in 2017, Cittadina Marketing was born.

The one stop shop for digital marketing

At Cittadina, we are the one stop shop for digital marketing.  We are able to help our clients from conception through delivery beginning with strategy then assisting in creating the go to market or marketing tactics for each campaign or long term initiative.  Depending on the needs of each strategy and campaign, we assemble a ‘tiger team’ to execute. Our clients benefit from our roster of freelance experts and boutique agencies that come together to align marketing into an efficient campaign. By working with Cittadina Marketing, our clients don’t need to coordinate multiple agencies and therefore don't lose time and budget to multiple overheads. 

One of the advantages of being at the helm of Cittadina with my work experiences, is that I intimately understand the needs of our clients. At Google and Microsoft, I had the experiences of wanting to push the boundaries of our marketing but needing to explain marketing tests with non marketing stakeholders. By understanding that not all of the decisions you want to make will be supported by all of your stakeholders, our team at Cittadina stays flexible and talks through the entire creative process from the beginning to avoid bottlenecks or ‘unforseen’ push back later on.

We are an extension of your team. We’re here to help you achieve your campaign here and now but also to be with you in the long run as you grow your digital capabilities, your strengths and even throughout your career.  Digital marketing is evolving quickly and we want our customers to benefit from our experiences. As we are working with customers from various industries and working on different parts of the digital marketing ecosystem we are able to level up our customers at a faster rate by taking advantage of client’s learnings (anonymously of course!). 

To be having our birthday in the middle of a global pandemic, was not our plan, nor anybody’s. But we are happy to celebrate with our clients old and new and confirm that we are here to help you thrive in this new normal as businesses move to a high level of digital consumption.  In light of the situation, and in addition to our current full service digital marketing services, we are announcing two new offerings.

Content Strategy Virtual Workshops

Marketing Workshop: How to create a content plan

First, our content strategy workshops are now available as virtual workshops.  They take place over two two hour sessions (broken up for time for comfort breaks and lunch) and are limited to three individuals to maintain a high level of personalisation. 

The sessions will maintain the framework offered in our in person workshops, but will primarily focus on your content plan and content strategy for a short term three months to focus on getting through the here and now.

  • Understand your product or service’s decision making cycle (customer journey)

  • The basics of building a focused content strategy 

  • Understanding how to stretch content - you don’t need to create everything!

Your growth champion: Marketing Mentoring Services

Second, due to the unknowns that the Covid-19 virus has placed on small businesses, we are opening up ‘Marketing Mentoring’ Sessions to clients who are looking for a one off discussion to bridge the current marketing needs in a time of unknown.  Those interested can book a 1 or 2 hour vc with me, Margaret Sherer, Founder of Cittadina Marketing. I’ll send you a pre session survey to understand your business objectives and current needs so we can dive into problem solving and potential ‘low hanging fruit’ in time of need to redirect and focus your marketing.

We are offering a reduced rate until 31st August of 1 hour sessions for £100 + VAT or a 2 hour session for £175 + VAT. These sessions are available as a one off session, monthly, bi-weekly or weekly sessions to gain the support to see your business grow through strategic marketing.

Looking back and forward for online marketing

It’s amazing to reflect that in these past three years, with our extensive team of experts, Cittadina Marketing has delivered to our customers: audience identification, messaging, branding, GTM, content creation (branded and social video, thought leadership, blogs, white papers, email, website design, banner design), social media plans, content strategy and plans, market research, email automation, PPC strategy and execution, and all areas of digital marketing analytics!
